I have successfully installed 4.0.3. The primary host address works fine but after I add another portal page none of those work. They throw the generic " This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off"." error even though the customErrors mode IS set to Off.

Generally I have known this to be caused by config errors that ASP.NET does not know how to deal with. Is there any errors that anyone has run into like this where the additional portal sites that you create do not seem to work?

Have you got a response on this because i am getting the same problem with version 4.3.3

The problem that I had was that the new domains were not created as ASP.NET 2.0 sites. Now my problem is that I upgraded to 4.3.3 and now I get "Error Creating Portal". Apparently this is an issue with the upgrade path. Hopefully there is a fix for this.

There's some recent activity in two threads, Cathal has attributed it to a problem with the upgrade path as well but I think some more attention from the community is necessary before it'll be known whether or not the script posted is the right fix:
