I tried installing the DNN Starter Kit in VS 2005 following the Welcome page documentation and all was going well, but just after it says it's creating a website called My Website, it throws an "thread abort exception".

Now I cannot do a re-install.  Does anyone know what I should do to get this installed?

Thanks,

King Wilder

If this is a new install, the next step I would take is start the installation over, including removing the database and unzippinga new copy.  There's more information in the Installation Guide and on the forum if you want to continue from where you're at--some things get modified that require additional steps if you need to do a reinstall.

Do you know the reason this happened in the first place?  I had this same thing happen on a different machine.  I'll try to reinstall by removing everything, but how do I know this won't happen again?
