I have a working DNN 4.0.2 application in local machine. When I uploaded to the server (changing the web.config with the production server name), the URL automatically changes to localhost.

ex: http://www.ppp.com/kkk/ changes to http://localhost/kkk

I have checked web.config and debugged, but couldn't find anything wrong.......

Can anybody make out what could be the problem? Any valuable suggestion will be grealty appreciated.

Did you add an alias for  http://www.ppp.com/kkk/ ?  DNN installs by default only as localhost

Take a look at the portalalias table.
You can update the rows of this table after moving your portal(s).

I'm facing a very similar problem as Praveen, but i am using DNN 3.2.2. I've installed in one of the Server computers - where it works fine as http://localhost/xxxx but when i tried to access it from another computer on the LAN it redirects to localhost. I have created an alias to access it from outside the LAN using a URL - when tried to access this way, it says "page can not be found"

If you over come this problem, pls post it as to how you did it.
