I was hoping someone would be able to help me with bringing together three DNN sites, currently one is version 3.2 and the other two are version 4, I will be updating them to the lastest release of 4. but how can I bring them together so that the three sites are still available as seperate portals but in the one instance of DNN? Is there a way to export the portal and data completely, and then reimport it? Including extra modules?

Thank you for your help,

David

I fear, this is not possible, as not all modules support completely the necessary interface for export/import. What is your need to consolidate the portals? having them individual has advantages especially regarding backup and restore...

What I am currently trying toether is data from two sites specificall, SBSIreland.comand kentsbs.co.uk , they are two user groups that want to share specific data between them, and also to add other portal for other SBS User groups, allowing Single login for all of them.

They are mostly using DNN modules and Active Forums.

Thank you for the fast responce,

David

I fear, you will not gain single sign-on without modifications in the core.

That much I can I appreciate, and is why I have bought the DNNMaster Single Sign on module, to allow for this. I also have a bulk export/importer for users, so fingers crossed that will cover that.

I do not think what I am hoping to do is going to be completely easy but, I do appreciate all the help.

The main thing I suppose is to export the data for Active Forums, once I have that I can regenerate the rest of the data without any real issues. It is just document libraries, link lists and a few graphic galleries.

Thank you for your help,

David
