there might be various sources for this issue:

- an installed 3rd party module

- a skin / container

- a corrupted settings value

Check the event log for assiciated issues and identify the situation, when the error is occuring.

At the point of the error, there are no 3rd part module, skins or containers as it is happening before I can even try to add a 3rd party anything.

If this helps, the last 6 lines of the last entry in the EventLog is
xsi:type="LogDetailInfo"><name>Info:</name><value>FILES_Created</value></anyType><anyType xsi:type="LogDetailInfo"><name>Info:</name><value>REGISTER_Module</value></anyType><anyType xsi:type="LogDetailInfo"><name>Info:</name><value>REGISTER_Definition</value></anyType><anyType xsi:type="LogDetailInfo"><name>Info:</name><value>REGISTER_Controls</value></anyType><anyType xsi:type="LogDetailInfo"><name>Info:</name><value>REGISTER_End</value></anyType><anyType xsi:type="LogDetailInfo"><name>Info:</name><value>INSTALL_Success</value></anyType></ArrayOfAnyType>

The EventLog has 194 entries.

I have checked and verified that the version in the DB matches the code version since I have tried mutiple versions to try to get this to work.

Thanks for any help.
