Another piece of the puzzle...

The login works just fine from firefox.. its just IE 6 I am having the problem with...

I'm not certain what to do with cookes on IE.. can one of you guys explain it to me a little?

How come I can log into dnn sites on the web using IE 6.. but cannot log into a dnn site on my local machine?

What do I have to do to the cookies?

Thanks
Vida..

I tried your setup on a local machine (it's called DCEL, the dnn install in in the dnn/test2 folder) with dnn 3.3.5

1. Added this as a portal alias:
    dcel/dnn/test2

And I can access the site and login using IE from the machine itself and from other machines on the network
    http://dcel/dnn/test2

So I think your setting are correct...

Hi Timo,

I was using the latest version of DNN.. 4.3.5 so I don't know if that would make a difference?

But I suspect the problem is with the install of my machine...I have managed to get DNN4 installed on a server that I have access to.. and its working fine... so I'm suspecting the installation of IIS etc on my local machine.

Vida
