I'm trying the manual install.  The type of hosting is a shared hosting.  My options for a database are My SQL and MS Access.  I've tried this with both the DSN and without.  Speaking with godaddy support I'm told that their mysql servers do not support remote connection and my only option for non-remote connection is through a dedicated server or a virtual dedicated server.  MS Access is local to the shared hosting, but will it work?  Also, are there any ways to create a database on the shared server manually?  BTW, I've got the connection string correct, as shown below.  I've seen multiple people saying they've manually installed DNN but is that only on dedicated servers?

Server=servername;Port=3306;Database=databasename;Uid=userid;Pwd='your password';
