Hi,

Am installing DNN 4.3.5 on a servergrid.com machine.
Did this numerous times before.
Ran into upgrade problems (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/78285/scope/posts/Default.aspx)

So I decided to do a clean install and use a template to get most of the old site back.
Cleaned the site, db, unzipped and installed.

The first visit to the newly installed site shows no 'demo' content (books, links etc).
Also some images like container preview images are missing.

When I apply my own template on the site, the same happens: no content. Just the menu structure and empty containers appear.

What could be the problem?

Martijn

I'm having the same problem.  Just out of curiosity, If you try to create a child portal, do you have no templates (other than the dotnetnuke one) to select?

I posted the same question for DNN3 a few days ago - no answers. Created a site filled it with content created a template with content ( the content is actually in the template)- created another site made sure it had the same modules and used the template to populate it. Every thing but the content

Mine was a plain vanilla install of the installation package.  Locally, the host portal got created with the default content.  On my host, it did created the portal with modules but no content in it.
