Hello.

 

I'm new here and decided to gice the lastest version a try. I am a programmer by trade. AFter following the install guide carefully I have set up to use the  source code. I have VS2005 and SQL 2k on a win XP pro SP2.

When I first ran the web application I was prompted to install which I did and got the following results.

Hi pierreb,

I would recommend taking a look at this site: http://dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNuke/tabid/195/Default.aspx

It has a step-by-step guide on setting up your dev environment rather quickly (and easily too).  I have the same setup as you, and following these instructions, I got it up and running fine.

I was attempting an installation and I got an error on *all* of the modules.  Anyone have an idea of what could be causing this?  All other facets of the installation seemed to be going fine.

please make sure, that both connection strings in your web.config are identical.
