I have been playing with upgrading my company's intranet to a newer version for a while now. I finally decided to make the leap for numerous reasons. I am attempting this upgrade on my local XP install first (database and DNN are running locally on IIS5.1 and SQL Srever 2000 Developer Edition ).

After preparing for the upgrade (new web.config, copied connectionString and keys. I also fixed my qualifier stuff) and making sure the database was all set with permissions and proper users from my production environment, I started the upgrade. Here is what I got:

I get an upgrade warning that states that there are more than 1000 users and the script to convert the user profiles will take 0.19 minutes. I clicked the upgrade DotNetNuke Anyway linkbutton, and the upgrade was successful on all steps. There are no logs (files are empty). When I browse to the web (localhost/wyleweb), I get a blank page.

Any help would be appreciated!

TIA,

John

I got-r-done! In the end, there was nothing wrong at all. Everything went perfectly! I am using AD authentication and, obviously, that doesn't work on my local XP install. I repeated the upgrade process on my QA server environment, and all is well.

You guys should pat yourselves on the back! Job Well Done!

Cheers!
