i have an asp.net app written with vwd with sql2005 backend.  all it good, web.config is... config'd.  i just need to know how to "register" the app with the asp engine either outside of, or within DNN app.

i am also customer of webhost4life and they have been great with support, u can either contact them or u can set it up from the control panel of ur host account

go to SITE ADMIN > ASP.NET (on the left hand side) > NET APPLICATIONS > Manage IIS Application (IIS Application)  > [change root's .net version] SET IT TO 2.X VERSION (FOR 4.3.X )

thanks for that, that seemed to solve one problem and create another.

I have the root as www.crbodies.com.  I have a subdomain as inventory.crbodies.com.  I have an app in the ~/inventory directory that i would hope was separate from the DNN app in the root.  SO... when i goto the inventory.crbodies.com DN, i get redirected to the root.  I have put in a trouble call, but i haven't gotten the results, perhaps more specifically, the most helpful answers, that i would hope.

next step?

If u direct the domain or subdomain to a subfolder u have to install DNN in that folder otherwise direct all the doamin or subdoains to the same folder that the DNN is originally installed in and from your host/superuser access add a new portal.

Remeber any DNN installation has to have ASP.NET 2.X version installed for that foldedr/subfolder as per my previous post
