When I upgrade from v3.2.2 to v 4.4.0 I get a configuration error - Parser error message: Unrecognized attribute 'requirePermission' .  The version information still shows .Net v1.1.4322.2300 ASP even though I have upgraded to version 2.0.  I have made the necessary changes to my web.config and have selected ASP v2.0 under the default web site properties.

Does anyone have an idea what could cause this?

Thanks

I have the same problem

First you should be sure that your dot net framework is 2

I found you should change Application Pool of your site

you should check your DNS ,if it has unknown you should change it to your IP

try it.
