Hi,

I'm trying to create a new parent portal from my main portal but it don't happens. The portal is created on a database, but no file is created with the portal for starting the creation of the portal with the modules. When I create a child portal everything works fine.

Looking for ideias for make this portal happens...

Thanks all....

Took a while but I figure it out and manage to create the parent portal. I started creating a child portal and, after have configured the IIS and the DNS, I changed the alias of the child portal to the alias that I would be using with the parent portal.

Do some checklist before you create the parent portal.

- Make sure that ASP.NET user or NT Network service user have the full acces to the DNN directory.
- Create a entry on windows hosts
- Create the new web site entry on IIS where the home directory will be the DNN directory
- Make sure that you are using the right version of the ASP.NET for the dnn
- Create a entry on Hosts of the website that you created for the portal with the alias you used for the portal

That's what I have done and it have worked pretty well after that. No matter if that was a child or a parent portal.

C Ya....
