That is interesting Rob.

Did you check to make sure your pages are really being compressed now?

Hi Folks,

9 hours later and I am still can's post back on most of my admin/host forms.  So Rob's temp fixes did not work for me.  I'm going to roll back to 4.4.0 and wait for 4.4.2.

BTW - Rob I could not find the issue you mentioned on Gemini.  Neither could I find any pertinent issues when I searched on "WebForm_PostBackOptions".  Do you have the issue #?

Thanks,
Wylie

Wylie,

since the problem you are experiencing seems not to be a common one, please give details on any specifics of your installation and list all the actions you take to perform the upgrade, so we can isolate the cause of the problem.

Hi Leupold,

I had an autoinstall of 4.4.0 preformed on a shared server account at CrystalTech.com - a top rate hosting company.  Alec Whittington works there and heads the DNN setup program.  I belive he is part of the DNN benefactor program.

After the 4.4.0 autoinstall I made very basic site configurations, installed Ventrian's News Articles and Telerik's Text/HTML editor.  Other than the db conn string, the Text/HTML provider updates were the only changes I made to the web.config.

For the 4.4.1 upgrade I unzipped the 4.4.1 upgrade package into a local directory.  Once I saw there were no differences between the 4.4.0 and 4.4.1 release.config files I simply ftp'ed all the files from my local machine to the hosted account.  I didn't worry about placing a App_Offline.htm file in the web root since the site is an offline IP for now - with no traffic.  The upgrade went fine and the site looked great, every thing worked except the WebForm_PostBackOptions.

I have just submitted a request for a roll back.  I am very willing to help you or anyone else on the core track this down.

Here are some options.
- I submit a follow up request to halt the roll back
- I can give you host user / pass and you can look things over and see the problem I am having (if you did this quick I may not need to halt the roll back request)
- Once the restore takes place you can take a look around and try the upgrade yourself to see if the problem occurs again.  (I'm not concerned with additional rollback requests if required)
- Anything you can suggest

Thanks,
Wylie

I have this problem as well.

The changes I made were:
Page State Persistance - page,
Module Caching Method - disk,
Authenticated Cacheability - Server And No Cache
No Compression,
And turned off Whitespace Filter.

This seems to have worked for me. I can now update module settings.
