On my test website, I have upgraded 4.3.7 to 4.4.0 (few weeks ago), and now from 4.4.0 to 4.4.1 (today). Everything seems to be ok with the following settings:

Tell me if I have to change something to test it.

DV
PS: I will also upgrade my prod website from 4.3.7 to 4.4.1

Hello,

I have done another test, with the following settings for compression:

It works PERFECTLY for me (I can access the setting of the page, no error, log is clean).
And... In addition... IT IS INCREDIBLE HOW FAST IS THE WEBSITE after having put these settings in action !! I am just astonished. If I can do other test, I will be very please (maybe not immediately but I will do it asap)

I performed an update from 4.4.0 to 4.4.1, just copied up all the Install version upto my website. Update went fine. However I get errors on various link in my calendar, forum Catalook store, etc.

Various changes I've tried:-

  • Clearing the cache and restarting the app - Did it for a while, but the problem came back
  • Adding webresource.axd/ebsource.axd to the exclusions 'seemed' to solve the problem - Did it for a while, but the problem came back
  • Copied webresource.axd to the root of the website - Not at all

So, my latest attempt is comment out the compression related line in web.config. This seemsd to be holding for now. If not, I'll be back to 4.4.0.

My settings are:-

PSP - Page
MCM - Disk
PS - Moderate
AC - Public
CS - No Compression
CL(D) - None
UWF - Ticked

These errors appear to be similar to problems encountered by people using the blowery compression module during last year. Since it is repeatable as occuring after 4.4.1 it is clearly due to some sort of upgrade problem or directly in the 4.4.1 code.

Well I just noticed that the webresource.axd/ebresource.axd exclusion can't have been applied, because the compressopn.config file didn't seem to have been updated. So I'm giving that a go again with compression uncommented in web.config.
