I am hosting a site, with 4 portals at a hoster, and the database size is growing out of proportions according to the hosting provider. They allow 25MB per database (SQL express) and i am now consuming 114MB.

My questions: Is this normal behaviour, then i need to change plan

How can i analyse / reduce the amount of space used?

Thanks

You may want to turn off the logging for the exception log and the site log. That should help keep it from growing a bit.

I have allready turned off all statistics for the site, but i am afraid there is still a lot of stuff in the database that is cousing it to be so big, and that is outdated information. How can i get not used information out of the database?

I'd recommend deleting from the eventlog and sitelog tables if you want to clear out space. You may also want to backup your DB to help clear out your db log file.

*be careful with deleting things from tables, always test things first*

What kind of sites are these??  If you have sites that will grow exponentially over time then you could save yourself repetitive headaches by upgrading now.  Otherwise just keep it simple as usual.
