Hi,

Im new to this DNN business, so I have a bit of a question....I want to create 4 completely seperate blogs in dotnetnuke and run them from seperate sub domains on an existing (non dot net nuke ) site.

so i want :

bloga.mysite.com

blogb.mysite.com

blogc.mysite.com

blogd.mysite.com

How do I go about this, do I create4 seperate sites, 4 seperate portals or 4 seperate blogs ?

No other functionality or menus are required to shown on the blog pages.

you would have to create 4 seperate portals. A URL in that style is known as a parent portal in DNN terminolog, log in as host and go to host->portals, and add your required URL's. Each will no exist as a seperate site (but share the same database), you can now style up the pages, and drop seperate copies of the modules onto them.

Alternatively, you can use the URL rewriting function to map to a page in your single portal (see http://www.smcculloch.net/Resources/Blog/tabid/243/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/142/Friendly-Url-Tip.aspx for how to edit the siteurls.config )
