I am in need of having maybe a security role or something to give additional users the ability of adding new users to the website without having to give them my admin priviledges.

Is there a way the DNN core can do this?

TIA

Why you do not that users in the Admin Role.

If you do not want to create a different role for this function only.

Then create that role.

Create a tab for that role.

Enter a sub menu item fo the user account link under the created tab.

May be you need to add the tab using the DB script.

Add access to the specified role for that tab.

In this way only authorized users can access he desired functionality.
