The issue is of course the 'failure' to install.  I saw the video, great video, both from this site as well as http://www.dnnwiki.net/ (I favor this site) and http://www.dnncreative.com/Tutorials/tabid/261/Default.aspx is a great resource.

But the 'problem' is of course with both the DotNetNuke 4.4.1 Install and the DotNetNuke 4.5.1 Wizard which is -

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

A name was started with an invalid character. Error processing resource

'file:///C:/Inetpub/DotNetNuke/Install/install.aspx...

<%@ Page language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" Explicit="True" Inherits="DotNetNuke.Services.Install.Install" CodeFile="I...

when trying to just get the thing started while opening C:\Inetpub\DotNetNuke\Install\install.aspx

No doubt, a few edits of 'some XML' file with Visual Web Developer with the necessary 'correct characters' would permit things to move along. This installation is attempted on an XPPRO system with the DotNetNule 4.4.1 Installer confirming what is needed is available.

This installation was also 'tried' on my SBS2003 server with the same ressults, a 'cad character' somewhere in some XML file.

I have read the installation notes, paged through a few books that tell all but fail to be a big help with this issue.

please make sure, ASP.Net 2.0 is installed correctly and the web site configured as web site / virtual directory in IIS.
