Could someone confirm this is an issue please. Maybe it's already been posted but I could not find it.

When you "Add an Existing Module" to a page the original module no longer allows you to adjust it's properties. A restart of the application is required.

To duplicate create a new page "Page B". "Add an Existing Module" - "Module A" from "Page A" to "Page B". Navigate to "Page A" and edit the properties of "Module A". You will find yourself on "Page B" editing the properties of the copied module.

I am not sure I have the fortitude to try to recreate this, but by your description it sounds similar to the trap one would find one's self in using the "Add New Page" / "Copy Page" functionality.

I wonder if, as a work around, you tried to achieve what you want using the "Copy Page" and "Specify Modules"... The logic there seems to have improved over the initial offering.

I had not seen the "Add Existing Module" option before... this is obviously new (?)

I had the same kind of problem in the past:

Just remove the cache temporarly, it will solve your problem.

Thanks for the reply,

Restarting the application also takes care of the issue but either of these is just a workaround at best. This needs to be fixed in the core I'm guessing.

I'll take a look through Gemini to see if anything is there already. This is pretty serious as it make the "Add Existing Module" function, which is incredibly powerful totally useless and downright nasty unless you have host access.

I couold not find this in Gemini so it has been created. This has literally broken nearly every installation we have. We make extensive use of the Ventrian News Articles module and rely on the ability to "Add Existing Module" and then filter.

I hope that this is one of those things being addressed in 4.5.4.
