Guys,

I have installed a new skin and container. The skin looks great, but the containers all have the icons for print, syndicate etc missing. Instead it appears I get some kind of tokens such as [ACTIONBUTTON} where the icons should be.

Any ideas ?

Paul.

in the container code do u have the dnn tags ACTIONS & ICON ?

if u checked one of the already existing containers u will find this table at the first row

<TABLE border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

<TR>

<TD valign="middle" nowrap><dnn:ACTIONS runat="server" id="dnnACTIONS" ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" ExpandDepth="1" PopulateNodesFromClient="True" /></TD>

<TD valign="middle" nowrap><dnn:ICON runat="server" id="dnnICON" /></TD>

<TD valign="middle" nowrap>&nbsp;<dnn:TITLE CssClass="directoryTitle" runat="server" id="dnnTITLE" /></TD>

</TR>

</TABLE>

"he stored an html skin as .ascx " is it wrong to do so?

.ascx skin files are compiled from .html and .xml files and need to be adopted, if you want to revert them to .html files. For details, have a look into the Skinning Guide, available at the Documentation page in Resources menu of this site,
