Is there a way to make real user friend urls?

By example, now I have a URL like this "http://www.mysite.com/MyPage/tabid/53/default.aspx". Is there a way to make URL's like this "http://www.mysite.com/MyPage/" to work?

And other question. If my site is http://www.mysite.com with tow sub-sections (section1 and section2), is there a way to achieve that http://section1.mysite.com  or even http://www.section1.com open directly this section? (without the use or URL redirection, of course )

Thank you in advance.

Check out the URL re-writer (and other free modules) here: http://www.inventua.com/dnn-downloadshome.content  (notice the url, he is using his own control)...

I'm not sure about Q2... Have you investigated child/parent portals?

re. #2 ) You can do a lot with siteurls.config if you understand regex.  However, since it requires a config file change its not very flexible in its use.  Make sure that those cnames ( section1.mysite.com ) are entered in DNS and in the PortalAlias table.

Thank you very much,

I've found both the httpmodule and the SiteURL.config solutions (I suppose you mean URL  http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/327/Default.aspx. Entry ID 326 is not working for me) quite usefull.

I suppose i'll start trying the last one, because it gives you more freedom to play with. It's a little "hand-done" but it's a good start.

It's a pitty that there is nothing out there that translates a page "path" (ie. page1/subpage/subsubpage...) automatically... but I have the URLRewriter code, so I think i'll give it a try 8·).

Thank you very much again.
