I'm managing my company's DNN (version 4.04.01) Intranet, and I'm not able to delete a user from the Administrators Role. I'm logged in as host.

When I remove the user from the role, it seems as if it works - the role no longer displays under the list of groups that the user belongs to, but as soon as that user logs in again to the portal, he is immediately "magically" added back to the Administrators role. I have checked that the user is not listed as the portal administrator in the Advanced Site Settings, and I've checked the Log Viewer to confirm that there aren't any errors going on in the background.

I'm pretty new to DNN, so I'm really lost on this one! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are there other users in the portal with an Admin role?  You need to have at least 1 admin for the portal.

As long as you have other Admins, the problem may be that the user you are trying to modify is the default admin for the portal.  You can check this from Admin, Site Settings.

Thanks for your response. There are about 8 users who are members of the Administrators role, and I did confirm that the portal admin is not the user who I'm trying to remove from the Administrators role.
