I tried manyways to solve this problem. but no luck

I cannot change skins under from host or admin menu.because both "skins" page gives same error.

this error occurs after I added some empty pages for design mainmenu from the beggining.

I removed all and reinstalled several times. but same problem.

same problem with DNN 4.07 and DNN 4.08.02 (the latest version)

every other functionalities seems have no problem.Except skining page for both under  admin or host  menus are unavaible.

One more thing :I believe skins have no problem.

everything works at the early beggining of installation. but after some add empty pages.its not possible to access skins page to preview install or uninstall skins or containers.

However I didnt get any help about the problem "Object is null or not an object" problem. I solved by my self :
after reinstalling dotnetfx2 and rechecking user security for files and directories that problem had gone out.

please Help.

Be sure that I didnt modify any file or changed anything except adding some pages to a fresh installation.

the problem is same on localhost and a real host...for 4.0.7 and 4.08.02 version. (maybe ms sqlexpress problem ? because it is free)

please Help.I cannot figure out what is happening in skinning  pages why unavaible

A few things.

1.) Did you by chance remove the default skins from the installation?

2.) When you upgraded did you merge existing settings into the new web.config?
