Hi,

I'm wondering what the best performance settings are for my site.

I't a large site (1000 pages), also stands each module 4 time on a page (for 4 languages)

The server properties i don't know all, i do know it has 1gb ram running windows 2003 enterprise R2, IIS 6 and SQL 2000

The connection is 1gbit up & down

I guess that the best settings should be:

Page State Persistence: Page
Module Caching Method: Disk (because of low RAM)
Performance Setting: Heavy Caching
Authenticated Cacheability: ServerAndNoCache
Compression Settings I really don't know
Use Whitespace filter: Off

Can some confirm if this are the best settings, and witch compressions settins i should use (and advantages and disadvantages of this)

 Thanx,

By enable authenticated caching, do you mean "Public" or "Server"? There's not much info on these settings and what this actually does..

Hi Rodney,

You can check the differences out in more detail here: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.httpcacheability(VS.80).aspx

I'm not 100% sure which is best though. I've got mine as ServerAndNoCache, but am open to offers.

I've set it like this:

Authenticated Cacheability: Server

Compression Setting:  GZip compression

Together with II6 compression applikations files ... is this correct?

But what about Use Whitespace filter that you can find settings about in the host menu? Can anybody provide a link so I can read more about this ?
