I tried going to the Portal/Alias table, but it won't let me edit the IP address portal. It will only allow me to add aliases. I know the domain is pointing to the new site. Just how do I make it show as such in the browser address field?

Thanks,

Marianne

To alter the "main" / first domain that is created you have to go into the database, find a table name PortalAliases and make the edit there to the datatable itself. There is no way to change it in the admin / Host menus.

Be careful if the url is showing the old web address it could still be making file changes on the old file system. Not always the case but it could be.

Thank you! Can you tell me where this database would be residing in the server? This is not my forté. I'm looking for it via FTP, but that might be a higher permission level than I have and I may have to aks my host to do it. If it's in the DNN folder I can find it.

Thanks,

Marianne

It depends on your host, some put the database in your root folder, others put it in a completely different area. Ask your host how you can access your database, they should be able to provide you detailed steps on how to connect. You will probably need to get the express version of sql server so you can connect, but your host should be able to assist you.

If not let me know, I can write up a quick sql command you can run from inside your website, if you have host access to your site.
