Is there a way to run an SQL script by setting up a button or link in a DNN module instead of having to cut and paste it in the Host -->SQL dialog box?  If so, can anyone tell me the details of how to do it?

thanks.

Jill

the only thing I could think of is to create a custom control, / module that executed the sql script. Which would have to pass through validation on the sql server. Are you wanting an end user to be able to run the script, that is not a host, or are you just tired of copy and pasting the same code over and over?

If its the later just create a stored procedure.

If its the first then your going to have to write either a custom control OR write asp.net page that runs some script to execute the sql script and just shove it into an iframe for a less elegant method.
