hi,

Firstly DNN is a fantastic project, cheers! proof the open source is the way forward!

I am fairly new to dnn, but keen to get in the deep end!

I have recently descovered the human friendly url feature which is fantastic, it surprises me that this is not the standard install mode since the URLs are so much nicer, anyway i was wondering if anyone had any experiance in combining the Human Friendly URLs with ISAPI rewrite 3 from http://www.helicontech.com/isapi_rewrite/ to provide extensionless urls. i tried using the default rewrite code to hide url extensions but couldnt get it to work, anyone have some working script or ideas on how to impliment this.

You need to use the URL Master module - its the best thing thats ever happened to DotNetNuke URLs.  Check out my review here: http://www.bestwebsites.co.nz/dotnetnuke/module-reviews/ifinity-url-master-reviewed/

I use it to get extensionless urls and cant imagine what I would do without it.

is there no way to get dnn to ditch extension using just isapi rewrite 3?

Although I have no experience with the software you indicated, there is no reason that an ISAPI extension could not be used to create extensionless pages.

That said, I believe IIS7 pipelines are probably the preferred route to go nowadays, if your server configuration will support it.
