Is this a local installation or one on a remote shared hosting provider. In either case, the url will need to include the host name. If it is a local install, you will also need to have added an application in IIS whose physical directory points to the root directory where you installed DNN.

If this is a local installation, the full url would look something like:

http://localhost/application_name/Install/Install.aspx?mode=install

where application_name is the name given to the application you added in IIS.

If this is a remote installation, the full url would look something like:

http://www.mywebsite.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=install

EDIT: Note also that Install.aspx is located in the /Install subfolder of the site.

Thanks Bill,

It's a remote host and the url I'm using goes to www.mywebsite.co.uk/

anything else gives me page not found.

At the url I see the index page with the relevent files shown as links. This is where I have loaded the dotnetnuke softwrae in its comonent folders so I can see library and website, clicking on website I can see Install and clicking on install I get the following
