Whenever I try to add or update the content or the settings of any module on any page, it takes a very long time (up to 2 minutes) from the moment I press Update until the updated page is displayed. During this time there is no disk activity whatsoever, so I have no idea what's holding DNN up. This happens regardless of the page or the module type.

The delay is not consistent, but the refresh is never immediate (never faster than 10-15 seconds). In most cases it's over a minute.

This does not happen if I just navigate from page to page - the navigation is instantaneouos. It also does not happen if I press Cancel rather than Update.

My machine is strong enough (quad processor, 6GB, fast disks). I'm running Vista X64 with IIS7 (the site is in development on my local machine and hasn't been published yet). It happens regardless of whether I run the site under VS2005 or stand-alone.

Any ideas? Thanks.

this is not typical behaviour, but I have no clue, what is the source of it. What are performance settings in host menu?

if this is happening with multiple modules I wouls tart to look at a few things.

1.) Are you using DNN 4.9.0
2.) What are your performance settings

If it affects specific modules more or less than others, then it mgiht be module related as well

I just deployed the site to a Windows 2003 server/IIS6 (still for testing, cannot be accessed publicly yet) - and things are fine in this installation. On my local machine (Vista 64/IIS7) the problem persists. I'm using the defaults for all performance settings.
