I created a website using DNN 4.8.2 - everything worked fine.   The other day I turned on caching on the Host settings and then Clicked Restart Application.

Then today I went to added a new page (OK) and a Text Module and then entered text and clicked Update.

The update URL is something like: http://vailcondosource.com/VitalInsiderResources/VailCondoAlertSignUp/tabid/125/ctl/Edit/mid/544/Default.aspx

Instead of of refreshing to show the the updated page, it returns a truncated URL http://vailcondosource.com/VitalInsiderResources/VailCondo (which doesn't exist) rather than the full path: http://vailcondosource.com/VitalInsiderResources/VailCondoAlertSignUp/tabid/125/Default.aspx

The issue is not limited to the Text/html  module - I tried adding another module and it also choked when hitting update.

I can update text on older pages - so it seems to be something limited to the new pages only.

I can't log out from that new page either (same truncated URL) but can logout fine from one of the older existing pages.   Weird.

Anyone know what is happening and how I can correct this?

I HOPE THERE IS AN EASY SOLUTION!

do you use any server side compression or URLrewriters?

I might have turned on one of the compression options under Host Settings.   I don't use any URL rewriters - other than the User friendly default settings.

I turned off compression in Host Settings - cleared the cache. and it still doesn't seem to make a difference.

I created a new page that showed this URL: http://vailcondosource.com/tabid/128/Default.aspx

I then added a text module (the URL at that point showed: http://vailcondosource.com/VitalInsiderResources/alert/tabid/128/ctl/Edit/mid/547/Default.aspx

I then typed some text and clicked UPDATE and the URL goes to: http://vailcondosource.com/VitalInsiderResources/

The path should have returned to: http://vailcondosource.com/VitalInsiderResources/alert/tabid/128/Default.aspx - the correct path to the page.

You can't log out from this new page either (goes to: http://vailcondosource.com/VitalInsiderResources/ again)

But I can logout from any of the old pages???
