Hi Boys and girls!,

I posted this question further down but I think it probably belongs in here! So, here's the thing...I've downloaded the zip files for the blog module and the gallery module unzipped them....hang on a minute the kettles boiling...OK so I've unzipped the files and ...what do I do now!?. When I go to upload new module in DNN it asks me for a file to upload but I have a folder full of 'em! How do you install new modules? Easy when you know how eh...well I make a great Yorkshire Pudding.... so there. Of all the things I've lost it's my mind I miss the most......I think its somewhere in a sql database but I don't know how to get it out!

I'll go for the Yorkshire Pudding - you can fedex me some!!

Have you got DNN running yet? I saw your post but was working so couldn't reply, although I'm still working - since there is still 4 hours left until midnight where most people on a friday night would be out having a life, but no, I'm here because I am somehow drawn to the post that says .. IDIOT on it.. and notice that there are a few people looking.. anonymously of course, but no doubt wanting an answer..

So, here's the deal - DNN uses a couple of ways to sort out what modules are used for.. it used to PA (private assembly) which they thought was clever, but honestly, it mean nothing to us who don't code!!  So in their wisdom, came up with a much better word - install.  So you can confidently use a file call .. forum.install.zip - or any other install.zip reference.  The source.zip is usually larger, holds more totally foreign files for the non coder.

I have a couple of videos on my sites that explain how to do these things - I think that one is on http://www.modulereviews.com probably hidden somewhere, but I'll find it make it more prominent if you can't easily find it.

You just go to the host/module definitions page, click upload new file, look for the zip that has install.zip in the name, and add it to the box and then click the go button.

It should work .. and then you can visit the forums and gallery forum to experience a whole new concept of getting it all to work.

Nina !....Babe! It worked!

There seems to be a slight problem with the gallery module....a fatal error or something...but still, its in!

Yorkshire pudding is best eaten straight out of the oven. So Fedex isn't a good idea..but the secret to great Yorkshire puddings is........

Thanks Nina!
