Hi all,

I have some performace problems with DNN 4.9.1. I use shared hosting and I think about VPS. What are requirements for one instance DNN and 4 portals with 5000 users together ... how much RAM etc. ?

Thanks

Jaroslav

The process of performance tuning DotNetNuke and estimating the resources needed is a bit of a tricky thing to tackle as it really depends on a large number of factors.  How many users are on at a time?  How many pages? What types of modules?  How long does the average user stay on the site?  All of those are questions that must be looked at before an accurate judgement can be made.

If you want, drop me an e-mail at msellers@iowacomputergurus.com and I can try to help you out a bit.  I help clients with this type of thing all the time.

with 5000 users you should have at least 1 GB ram for the web server, of course this depends on the number and type of modules installed and caching used.
