I am having a major problem with a DNN 4.4.1 install with regards to the Forgot Password page.  I have got modules on my home page that are set to appear on all pages.  However, when clicking this link, none of these modules appear.

Has anyone else noticed/solved this problem ?

"Show module on all pages" refer to standard pages only, while password reminder, Terms of use and any edit or configuration page of a module is by default shown exclusively on a page using "admin" skin and container.

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for your reply.  Have i missed something or does that not make any sense.  I would not want my users to see the admin skin yet the Forgot Password function is purley used by users of the site.  This seems very odd?

Is there any way around this at all?  E.g. Using a custom module, re-directing to a custom page etc?

Thanks

Dave Clayton

usually your admin skin should look like the portal skin with only content pane in the middle, this will make it most easy for your users to concentrate on the stuff they are going to edit - otherwise on a newspaper sized page with dozends of modules they might get lost, where to go for editing etc.

of course you may adopt this behaviour in a custom module.

Hello again,

I understand what you are saying.  My problem is that i am using a 3 column layout with navigation in the left and right panes.  I have custom modules for navigating our product catalogue, shopping basket, currency selection etc and like to keep these visible at all times to improve navigability and user experience.  It just looks a little strange when you navigate to the forgot password page and the panes are there but no content is displayed.  I will look at implementing a custom module that wraps the forgot password functionality as discussed.  That appears to be the most suitable option at the moment.

Thanks for your help.
