I have SSL enabled for a couple pages. The problem is that when you leave the page it stays on https. The old SSL Mod did not do this but the built in SSL for DNN does. Any way to make it go back to http when leaving the secure pages?

Dan:

Admin -> Site Settings -> Advanced Settings -> SSL Settings -> SSL Enforced should take care of this.

Thank you. That indeed did it. For some reason when I read that option thought it would just error if you tried to hit a non https page with https. Been a long week.

Hi,

I have a similar problem.  I'm using DNN 4.5.5.

I created a login page and changed the site settings to that page for the login.  Then, I checked off "Other Settings > Secure?" for that page.

Under the SiteI also checked off both "SSL Enabled" and "SSL Enforced" under "Site Settings > Advanced Settings > SSL Settings"

However, when I log into the site, it still uses the regular, non-SSL page.  I *can* login on the SSL page if I type in https: but then after that it stays on https and doesn't switch back to http:.

I'm using a SSL certificate for the www.domain.com (port 443) and I'm using IIS 6.0.

Can't think of anything else you might need to know, but just to clarify, the https does work if I manually switch to it (for *any* page on the site).  But DNN doesn't seem to "enforce" secure pages to be on https and non-secure pages to be on http.

Thanks!

Dean, AFAIR this option has been inproved during the past versions. I suggest to upgrade to current version (4.9.2), you may follow this check list.
