I'm not sure how to search for a answer for the following question because I didn't find the answer, so here's the question :

Is it possible to isolate DB table for a specific module/application by client portal?

Let me be more specific, let's say I have a DNN portal running a module design specifically for one client.

Next thing I know, someone else want to use the module BUT he require that his data does not get "mix up" with the original client.

I know you can use alias for customizing the presentation part for "each" client but how do I isolate data from one client to the others when using the "same" portal and the "same" installed module?

I hope I made myself clear enough... like I said, I didn't find my answer probably because I don't know how to look for it...

Feel free to ask for clarification.

Regards

If you have different clients, then I really do think that a "best practice" is to give each client his own installation of DotNetNuke.

To answer your specific question, the DotNetNuke framework design doesn't really allow separation of data as you described.

Thanks for the answer Joseph, I thought that would be the case.

So I should install multiple dnn instance on the same server and create sperate DB for each dnn instance... not much more trouble...
