I want to add several modules to a DotNetNuke "installation package."

My understanding is that if I place module packages in the install/Module directory, these will be installed automatically when I install DotNetNuke.  Is that correct?

If I rename MyModule.zip to MyModule.resources in install/Module, my understanding is that it won't be installed, but will appear on the list of optional modules that can be installed.  Is that right?

Is there a way to do this with skin or container files?  How?

Thanks!

module packages in the install/module folder are not installed automatically, only when an installation request is done (eg. during upgrade of dnn, or when you manually invoke the installresources command like this: www.domain.com/install/install.aspx?mode=installresources

notice that there are several folders in the install folder, for skins, languages, packages, scripts etc. So for skins: just put them in the appropriate folder and they will be handled accordingly

If I put a zip file in one of the install subdirectories, it will be installed.  But if I name a module as Module.resources, it won't be installed, right?

Is there a way to place skin and container files such that they won't be installed, but will appear on a list of optional installs, like the modules?
