Hi,

I have been looking at the settings for the text/html module.

If I add one to a page then change the following:

1. Set minimized/maximized to "none"
2. Set allow print "unchecked"
3. Set as default settings "checked"

Should this not mean that when I add subsequent text/html modules that the min/max and print icon should not appear?
It certainly doesnt work in practice.

Also - I would like to hide the title field. Is there a setting anywhere to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

Which version of DNN are you using? If you are using DNN 5.0.1 please log at support.dotnetnuke.com - not sure if it is an issue yet.

In regards to the title, unfortunately hiding the text field is impossible unless you use a custom container.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry to be a baby but can you suggest any good tutorials on creating a custom container?

PS. I am using DNN4 as this will be a production site.

PS, PS. snasty - nice site.

  • Those are general module settings, not specific for Text/HTML (which only has individual setting "Replace Tokens")
  • "Save as default" works for any module of any type, not only for subsequent modules of the same type. In fact, am not sure, which settings are included.
  • if you want to permanently hide "print" and "min/max" option, I suggest to remove those options from the container
  • to edit a container (or create a custom clone), I sugget to read the Skinning guideline you may download from Support > Documentation > Downloadable Files in Menu above.
