Hey Dave,

I believe the demo portal is created within DotNetNuke Professional, which is available for purchase.

Was there specific feature you are curious about?

Take care,

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your reply.  The specific feature.  That would be the self-serve functionality , which includes exposing the host function 'Add Portal' plus the additional workflow which terminates the users demo site after 24-48 hours.

My inquiry is, does this exist for the community's consumption(as in open source).  Which you believe it is not.  Is this a fact?

Cheers,

Dave

AFAIK the demo site uses default installation and resetting all sites is done by a scheduled server job.

Yep, looking over the default installation module controls, I see that the control used over on the demo side, ctl=Signup, exists.  I also see that this control is activated when the host "Demo portal" option is checked (under host payment settings).

I've just never actually used this functionality before, so I'm not sure how to get it all up and running.  But the pieces do appear to all be there in the community version.
