Does anyone have experience with SDN Store from SysDataNet?  Is SysDataNet a scam?

We installed it on one of our sites and are having problems with email notifications.  When visitors by our downloadable software the email notification does not go out.  All other notifications, such as inventory low or even the DNN SMTP test are fine on the site.  We tried everything.

Then we contacted Luca Boscolo for help.  He wanted money to fix the problem. Understandable, we paid he just told us that there's a problem with root level directory access, didn't fix anything.  We are 100% sure that users have full control on the portal directories.

He doesn't know why (or at least that's what he told us) the SDN store is trying to access the root level directories.  To find out he wanted even more monies and full access to our server.  At this point is where we got suspicious.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

For those who are interested in buying the SDN Store from SysDataNet.  These are Luca's own words and I quote:

"let me make clear this:  for $100, you've bought the software as it is, there is not support included. On my end I can't spend unpaid days to reply emails asking for support (and I receive hundreds every day). I know Catalook gives you 2 years of free updates and support for $99, I'd suggest you to go with that,"

 

 

I hope this helps anyone who's considering this store.
