The "Redirect on Login" settings on a child portal only allows child pages.  I need to redirect from the child portals to the main page of the parent portal.  Is there an easy answer?  Or a hard one?

sorry, but portals do provide their own user base and authorization, therefore redirect to a different portal after login doesn't make sense.

Thanks Sebastian.  The person who developed this site (now gone) told me that he had used a number of child portals for performance reasons only and this was recommended practice.  The site is, otherwise, supposed to operate cohesively and, for that reason we have to ensure authentication and permissions are synchronised (which is very tedious).  Should the site have been developed as a single portal? If perfomance alone requires the creation of child portals then isn't my requirement rational?  Apologies if this is old ground but I haven't found much while trawling.

admin/user accounts/user settings allows redirect after login and redirect after logout but only within the current portal..
