I'm working on a DNN site that is set up as an alias under my initial installation with a hosting company.  I'm logged in as the Super User (host) to work on the thing but each time I need to add or change a files I get in BOLD RED TEXT "You don't have permission to see the files on the site"

Dude!  I'm the Super User! It isn't an issue on any of the other portals on this install.

Who can clarify this nonsense for me?

Attempted....and failed.  Still receiveing the error.  This couldn't possible be a skin issue could it?

I don't expect this to be a skinning issue, but you can easily try by switching admin skin to default Minimal Extasy and validate, whether the issue persists.

I suggest to validate file system permissions as well.

I never did find the source of this problem, but I was able to work around it by creating a role group "site editor" and giving full edit permissions to that role. Then I assigned myself as a site editor and <bada bing!>, I'm in.
