Hello,

Not sure if this is the proper forum to post this question, but...

Is there a way to remove the new red "DotNetNuke Community" that appears in the Control Panel in the new 5.1.0 version of the software?

Thanks!!

When you login as a portal administrator they're shown the DotNetNuke Community logo at the top of the control panel. The Host Account doesn't get this rendered. The new "branding" doesn't check the Host.DisplayCopyright setting, and will always notify your administrators they are using DotNetNuke Community Edition.

For the fix, open up the ~/admin/ControlPanel/IconBar.ascx/vb file, and goto line #312. You'll want to replace that branding if statement with this one... (the bold/highlighted bits are what I've added into my installs)

If PortalSecurity.IsInRole(PortalSettings.AdministratorRoleName) AndAlso Host.DisplayCopyright Then
    hypMessage.ImageUrl = Localization.GetString("hypMessageImage.Text", LocalResourceFile)
    hypMessage.ToolTip = Localization.GetString("hypMessageTooltip.Text", LocalResourceFile)
    hypMessage.NavigateUrl = Localization.GetString("hypMessageUrl.Text", LocalResourceFile)
Else
    hypMessage.Visible = False

End If
