Hi there,

I have a dotnetnuke site which is using a News Article module. When a user publishes an article with a specific publish time, the article does not publish at that time. However if the user moves the publish time back a few hours the article gets published. This leads me to believe the site’s time is not in sync with real time, or it’s using a different time zone a few hours behind our own.

Do you know how we could edit the date/time that the site is currently set to?

I am not sure, how NewsArticle determines publish time and time zone - from Server, portal default or current user settings.

From my experience, it is always advisable to set portal defautl time zone to server time zone, otherwise there will be differences in various modules due to misnamed methods in DotNetNuke API. Each user should make sure to use proper time zone in his personal settings (user profile).

Thanks Sebastian. How do I determine Server time zone and Portal time zone, thus checking if they are the same
