Now that version 5.1 is "recommended for production environments", we are started to plan our upgrade from 4.9 to to 5.1.  We are running DotNetNuke for several non-profit environmental web sites and have limited volunteer resources.

I am hoping to collect as much information about possible issues we might face as well as suggestions to make the porting easier.   We have six third-party modules we are using including Active Forums, DigRotate, and Inventua Side Menu.

Please share your porting experience.

Thanks,
Mike

Wait for DNN 5.1.1 - shouldn't be too long now I suspect...
Look at the roadmap in support.dotnetnuke.com and of course there are loads of threads here to look at.

I agree with Alex: DNN 5.1.1. will be fine for you (if you don't need localization).

It happily thrashed my site. Good thing I had a backup.

The upgrade process failed in three places rendering my site a pile of garbage. I restored from a backup.
