I give up, i have looked everywhere and please forgive me if im asking silly questions coz im trying to learn.Where do i find info on how to Set up a Parent Portal. Well more to the point, what have i done wrong.

So I set up my website with DNN, www.example1.com which i have the domain name with "Openhost" and then the actual hosting of the site is with "webhost4life". Which Works great.

I have got another site www.example2.com which the Domain is with "Xtra" So i what example2 to be set up as a parent portal to example1.

What am i doing wrong. I have set up the portal viä Host, portal, add new portal etc. And i have set DNS to go from example2 Xtra to webhost4life. "The page can not be displayed" I havnt done something or i miss understand how it works. Something is nite right. Can i have some help please.

Ok so i think i have dixed my aboce problem. However i now get this

SERVER ERROR

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

make sure, the domain address is pointing to the same IP address and the IIS web server assings it to your web site where DNN is installed. DNN will take care to display the proper portal in a multiportal installation. You might need to assign the domain to the web site using the hosting panel of your hosting company.

Ah i think i understand.

So, my domain is. www.example.com asn i have DNN installed on www.example.com/AA  -------    so www.example2.com DNS name server is pointing towards www.example.com but because DNN is installed in the AA,  I get the 403 error message.

Does that make sense?
