Hi Forum,

I am having a small issue or maybe I am just doing/configured something wrong.  I have my site set to public registration with the use of CAPTCHA.  When my users login or attempt to login with the password they gave when they registered, it fails.  To trouble shoot I created a test user and when I received the confimation email, I had a a password that was not the one I had input but one that looked like it was generated.  I do have the web.config file set to password encrypt to true.  Will this cause this issue.  I could use an answer to this quite urgently.

With Kind Regards...

There should not be any issues with the password and the password format that you are using.  What is the error message that is displayed?

Hi,

I am not getting an error message, what is happening is that when a user registers, and they put in a password of X, when the email shows up there is a password of Y and only Y will work when they log in....  I am not sure how this is happening.

does the issue persist, when you (temporarily) turn off captcha?
