Hello,

I am trying to sort through the issues in doing a 301 page redirect for SEO. While on my home page, I went to settings and set it up so that my home page

(http://arete-erp.com) redirects to http://www.arete-erp.com.  Under page settings/link url I used link type URL- link to an external resource,

and set it to http://www.arete-erp.com.   But this did not have the desired effect. Worse,

now when I try to go to settings for the home page, when I click settings, it redirects me to http://www.arete-erp.com and then the logged in permissions are not seen, that is the control panel disappears. I can't get to the page settings anymore to undo it!

I really need to undo this. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

David

IF you go to Admin, Pages, can you then click on the page in question to highlight it, then click on the pencil icon to edit it?

Perhaps I did not understand your problem, but it seems to me that even with a permanent redirect, you can do this. Once in the settings, you can then undo the problem.
