 Hello

I have a DNN 4.95 site with a timezone property problem.
Back when it was still possible to remove this property from profiles this got done for some forgotten reason.
It was not noticed until after an upgrade and while I did reinstate it via the profile properties page it seems that more is required.

The issue manifests itself with important modules such as News articles and Ultra Media gallery for logged in users. (Error below).

I think I need to use something like SQL management studio express to sort this out.

To my debit (but DNN's credit) I have never needed to do this before and am stuck getting started.
I can find loads of info on how to do tricky stuff but not how to use / connect db management tools to look at an offline copy of the db to investigate.
I have had a look at the ERD and can see where I need to be looking I think. My plan was to compare a working version of the same version and look and resolve differences.

Assuming that no "magic wand" stored procedure exists to resolve / regularise profile properties would some kind person provide the steps to connect the management tools to the db please.

Thanks

Ian

deleting system properties is never a good idea - it should be simply hidden.

But you should be able to recreate the profile property with same settings (copy from a new working DNN) from inside Admin :: User Accounts module using "Manage Profile Properties".

Hi Sebastian

Yes - it was a very bad move.

I have put the property back exactly how it was and checked against another site of similar version but there does seem to be a problem still.
Curiously my Manage profile page still give the ability to delete.

have you been able to compare permission properties in database?

did you enter your user profile to validate it is working as expected?
