I have a system that's trying to get to an image on my site eg http://www.abc.com/image.jpg that no longer exists.

For some reason the system is trying to access this file every few minutes and it's filling my event log with rubbish.

Is there anyway I could block this?

Thanks.

 Is this system DotNetNuke related?

the image might be used inside the skin applied to your site.

I would create a 1x1 pixel transparent gif (or get one from somewhere - the default dnn skin used to have one in it) and rename it to your 'missing' image file.  It will fix the problem instantly.  Then you can inspect the referer field of the file once it starts to get served, and work out where the requests are coming from, then fix that.

If you can identify the system, block it in your firewall.  Why make IIS or your server work for some schmuck somewhere else?  Or, create the image but have just some text that says "This site is run by a moron" so wherever it is appearing they may eventually get the point.  If they don't apply height/width tags to the link, I'd also make the image 1500 pixels high to screw up their layout.
